Airport Information

Entebbe International Airport is located 45 km. from the conference venue (1-2 hours, depending on traffic).

Contact your hotel about availability and price for airport transfers.

Airport Taxi offers reliable service. Counter is located outside, after exiting arrivals. Price is negotiable, but expect to pay USD 30-USD 40 (cash only).

For early-morning departures, consider sleeping in Entebbe.

Uganda Entry Requirements

Passport must be valid for 6 months from date of entry.

A valid Yellow Fever Immunization card is required for entry. (All cards previously issued are now valid for life.)

Do I need a visa? Click here for a list of visa-exempt nationalities. For those requiring a visa:

  • You must apply online for an e-visa. Submit application at least one month prior to travel.
  • Apply for a Uganda Ordinary / Tourist Visa (Single Entry): USD 50. 
  • No letter of invitation required, but we will provide one upon request.
  • For expats with work permits in Kenya or Rwanda: request an “East Africa Interstate Pass” from immigration upon departure (no cost). This will allow you to enter Uganda without a visa. 

 

Note: Visas are still available upon arrival (USD 50 cash). However, airlines occasionally refuse boarding to passengers without an e-visa. We therefore highly recommend that you apply online.
